 The following gives you a full explanation of the text notifications we have been using:

START GETTING TEXT NOTIFICATIONS:
TEXT the location you prefer to pick up at. You will text either "North Ogden" "Farmington" "Morgan" "Sandy" "South Weber" or "Utah County" to this number: 844-598-6799.
If you did it correctly, you will receive an automatic response back indicating you have been subscribed successfully. 

You can be apart of more than one location group, but you will need to send a separate text with each location indicated. 

​You probably noticed we started using mass texts (about 3+ years ago) to alert you of where we were going to be taking a load of peaches. It went quite smoothly overall, but the process did cause some confusion for some. We want to clarify the purpose of the texts and how preorders play into everything. 

We no longer have the man power nor the time to contact you individually to come pick up your order(s). It is extremely time consuming when we are trying to get the fruit picked while also chasing our toddlers around...oh and doing all the other things :) 

"Pre-orders" will now function as a list for us to use if for some reason we have NOT had all the boxes "claimed" through the mass text link. Signing up does not guarantee you any boxes. The way to get boxes is to act when you get a text telling you there are peaches available.

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:
Peaches do not all ripen at the same time so when the first variety starts turning, we go out and literally touch peaches one at a time to find the ideal ripe ones to pick and put in a box for you. 
When a variety is first starting to get ripe, we will not even get half-of-a-trailer load of half bushel boxes. In this situation we obviously do not have time, for example, to drive 12 boxes to Farmington as that would not be worth our time or gas. 

So, instead, we will shoot out a text to the "North Ogden" text group and it will allow 12 people to claim those boxes. The form will give you the information on when to pick up, etc. This is an automatic process to eliminate us needing to call individual people. If you sign up you are committing to pick up that box so please do so.

Who is in the North Ogden text group? 
That is anyone who texts "north ogden" to 844-598-6799. If you don't live in or near North Ogden, but you are still willing to drive there to pick up peaches, then I would highly recommend texting "north ogden" to that number. 
YOU CAN BE A PART OF MORE THAN ONE LOCATION TEXT GROUP, but please only be a part of locations you are genuinely willing to drive to. 

The reason we want to have location specific text groups is because we want to limit the number of texts you receive from us. We don't need to text a thousand people that we have 12 boxes ready to be picked up in North Ogden :) Especially when 70% of those people may not be willing to drive to North Ogden. This becomes an irrelevant text and irrelevant texts become annoying and they cost us a lot of money to send.

 When you get a text from Fresh Off The Tree we want you to know that this is YOUR chance that there are peaches available in a location you are willing to pick up at. 

WHAT IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TEXT OR CAN'T RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES? 
If this is you, then I would enlist a family member, grandchild, neighbor, etc. who is able to text and have them text from their own cell phone the location(s) you are willing to pick up at so that they will get the text notifications and they can help you claim the boxes you want and give you the details of when to go pick them up. 
If you are willing to pick up from the farm in North Ogden then you are also welcome to call or text us and we can usually accommodate your order the same day or next day. Otherwise, we need you use the text link that is sent out to reserve your box and then go pick up your box during the given time frame. 

You are always welcome to call us in North Ogden at 801-644-5741 to see if you can just drop by on a given day to get some boxes and sometimes that works, but we usually have all of our boxes claimed and accounted for, which is why we really encourage you to join the text notification group(s).
